Some people have been really busted up by these animals

As humans, we still sometimes hold a grudge against someone who wronged us. The same sometimes applies to animals. Are they treated unjustly? If so, that sometimes goes beyond just holding a grudge. We share stories of animals who took revenge on humans.

Tiger kills poacher who targeted him

Russian poacher Vladimir Markov went after a Siberian tiger one day in 1997. These tigers should certainly not be underestimated. They can weigh more than 225 pounds and can make jumps of three meters. You want to risk getting on their nerves? That’s something Vladimir would have been better off not doing.

When Vladimir saw a Siberian tiger – also known as Amur tiger – he shot it. He wounded the animal heavily, but did not manage to kill it. The tiger escaped, but did not forget the poacher. The insightful animal followed Vladimir to the hut where he was staying. At first, the tiger wreaked havoc. The animal destroyed everything in the dwelling that had the scent of the poacher. Then the tiger waited patiently. It did not have a happy ending for Vladimir. When he came through the door, the tiger attacked him and he was killed by the animal.

Dogs vandalize car after owner mistreats their buddy

You sometimes hear people say: dogs are man’s most loyal friend. Provided the human does not attack their friends. A few years ago, in 2015, a Chinese man was walking to his car. He saw that there was a stray dog in his parking lot and he didn’t like it. He could have chased the animal away, but that’s not what the man did. Instead, he kicked the dog so it went away.

The dog did indeed leave, but not because he felt defeated. No, he was picking up other dogs. Together with his four-legged friends, the dogs then destroyed the man’s car. When the man returned to his car the next day, he saw that his windshield wipers were bitten through and there were dents in his car. He did not initially know what had happened until a neighbor pointed out to him that a group of dogs had done it.

Leopard attacks park ranger after he pokes her with a stick

That you shouldn’t just poke a leopard with a stick is proven by this story from Lake Nakuru National Park in Kenya. A leopard was causing commotion as it attacked and ate the locals’ livestock. The locals contacted park rangers and they in turn tracked down the leopard. They managed to catch her, put her in a cage and put her on their wagon. When they wanted to let her out again, the animal refused on her own. The solution of one of the rangers? Poking her with a stick, to lure her out. Not the best decision maybe….

From the wagon, the ranger pushed against the animal with a stick. She did not appreciate that at all. She became aggressive and bit the stick first. However, the goal was achieved: she got out of the cage. Only she did not run towards her freedom, but jumped into the open window of the car. She managed to injure the ranger with her claws and tried to bite his neck. Meanwhile, she tried to climb further into the truck, but the ranger managed to get the animal out the window by pushing her away with his feet. The ranger needed 21 stitches for his injuries, but fortunately can still recount the story.

Crows recognize researchers examining them and attack them

We know that elephants have a good memory, but did you know the same is true for crows?

For a study, researchers applied identification bands to some crows. And this the crows did not like at all. The crows were released into their territory, but when the researchers came here, the birds appeared to recognize them. In fact, they appeared to hold quite a strong grudge. They started crowing loudly and flew at them to scare them away. To prove that crows can actually hold a grudge, the researchers began wearing special masks when they applied the identification bands. Over time, the researchers visited the crows. Again they wore the mask. The crows did not appear to have forgotten the faces (after a year!). Once again, the birds made a lot of noise.

Are you the owner of a camel? Then you better take good care of the animal. A man in India found that out in a painful way in 2016. He was busy with guests he was hosting at home and forgot that his camel was still outside, in the blazing sun. The animal stood there tied up all day.

When the man wanted to untie the camel in the evening, the animal was incredibly angry. So angry that it grabbed its owner by the neck, lifted him up and then threw him to the ground. Then the camel chewed on the man’s neck until it detached from the body.

Tiger attacks three men after they bully her

In a zoo, it is easy to watch tigers, but be careful not to bully the animals. At a San Francisco zoo, the three men Paul, Kulbir and Carlos mocked a tiger. The animal broke loose on its own and then attacked the men. First, she targeted Kulbir. Carlos tried to distract the tiger, but then became the target himself. The predator attacked Carlos and fatally wounded him.

The tiger, which had been named Tatiana at the zoo, then followed the blood trail left by Kulbir. Together with his friend Paul, he tried to escape the tiger. Unfortunately, to no avail. She attacked Paul, but was then shot dead by the police.

At first, the two men denied that they had teased the tiger, but later confessed that they had indeed challenged her.
