Wow, what a beautiful photo!

Susan was 28 years old when she found out she was pregnant with quintuplets. Doctors strongly advised her to have a ‘selective abortion’, but Susan did not want to know anything about it and refused the doctor’s proposal.

A selective abortion means that one or more embryos or fetuses are killed and / or removed in order to increase the chances of survival of the other (s). When she refused, the doctor sent her to a specialist. She also tried to persuade her to continue her pregnancy with only a few of the embryos. Still Susan and her husband stood behind their decision and that was the best decision they could have made!
