Aluminium ball

One of the tips they give us is putting a ball of aluminium foil in the dryer along with your wet laundry. You can use this ball of aluminium foil instead of dryer sheets in case you’ve run out, or just want a cheap alternative. Make three balls out of the foil that are all about the size of your hand. Add these to your clothes in the tumble dryer and just put it on the programme you normally use. The balls are suited to be used multiple times and don’t need to be thrown away right away. You can use the same ball for up to 6 months if you’ve tightly wrapped it into a ball.

Using aluminium foil in the washing machine or tumble dryer isn’t harmful to the machines. Your clothes won’t be static anymore, because the foil will absorb all of the electric charge. That means your clothes will be less prone to fluff and dirt clinging to it.
